All these years later, the first sequel to HARD is ready to go before
the cameras. And you can participate. We want to give the millions
of HARD fans around the world an opportunity to share in the filmmaking
process.
As truly independent, guerilla filmmakers, we know first-hand that
raising money is always a challenge, so we’ve decided to partially
fund this first sequel through an innovative crowdfunding drive. We
feel this is one of the best ways we can engage you in the process,
utilizing the tools of social media to connect with HARD fans like
yourself across the globe and accelerate the release of this film.
Here's how it all works:
MPH Productions has created a series of rewards for your donation.
We have an amazing script and many returning cast members as well
as a whole new exciting array of quirky, original characters. And,
of course, like the first movie, plenty of naked, bleeding victims,
struggling anti-heroes, and thrilling suspense sequences that will
be - in the words of FAB! Magazine – “Shocking. Absorbing.
A gut-wrenching mix of Silence Of The Lambs mixed with Seven mixed
with Cruising.” Or METRO WEEKLY called “A dark,
sexy, sleazy, scary thriller.” Or PANIK Magazine said was
“Truly shocking and unexpected. A dark, psychological thriller
that kept my heart racing to the very end.” Those are review
quotes from the first film – and we think HARD2 will be even
better.
And
wouldn’t you love to find out what happened to everyone? Where’s
Detective Vates now? Is he still a cop? Has he embraced his gayness?
Is Jack still killing teenage boys? Did he ever find love? What happened
to Lucky Tom Ellis? We promise HARD2 will contains graphic images
of violence and grisly afterviews, nudity and strong sexual content
which may be disturbing to some viewers. And quite a lot of fun for
the rest of us. But we digress…
For you contribution you
will receive the following REWARDS
You can contribute any amount you wish. Here are the rewards (so far)
we are offering…
For a $10 contribution – your name will be in the ending credits
of the film. In fact, EVERYONE who contributes will have their name
in the ending credits, listed alphabetically by first, then last name.
For a $25 contribution – (for U.S. contributors) a DVD of the
completed film (prior to its public dvd release but after the theatrical
release) or (for international contributors) an ORIGINAL POSTER from
the film, suitable for framing.
For a $50 contribution – a DVD or ORIGINAL POSTER (see above)
and a copy of the HARD2 SCRIPT.
For a $100 contribution – a DVD or ORIGINAL POSTER (see above)
and an AUTOGRAPHED copy of the HARD2 SCRIPT by the AUTHORS.
For a $500 contribution - a DVD or ORIGINAL POSTER (see above) and
an AUTOGRAPHED copy of the HARD2 SCRIPT by the AUTHORS, PRODUCERS
and DIRECTOR of the film.
For a $1,000 contribution - a DVD or ORIGINAL POSTER (see above) and
an AUTOGRAPHED copy of the HARD2 SCRIPT by the AUTHORS, PRODUCERS
and DIRECTOR and LEAD STARS of the film.
For a $5,000 contribution – have a character named after you.
Yes, one of the characters in the movie will have YOUR NAME (first
and last) and you will always know that you are a part of the movie!
Any sequels that are made – should the character SURVIVE!?!
– could have your name in there as well. Now you can truly be
part of the history of HARD – the films that speak for those
that want a voice. (Of course, you can gift this to someone else,
pending their approval.)
For a $10,000 contribution – participate in the filming with
a walk-on role. Be a detective. Be a victim. Be in uniform. Be naked.
Your choice, but you get to be seen for all eternity in the first
HARD sequel. (You can also gift this to someone else as well.)
For a $15,000+ contribution – you become an ASSOCIATE PRODUCER
on the film and you are listed in the OPENING credits (should there
be opening credits) or near the beginning of the ending credits.
There are MORE REWARDS to follow, including props & costumes from
the first HARD movie, and a possible DINNER FOR TWO with an actor
of your choice (upon availability). But tell us what you’d like
to receive and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

FAQ
What will the contributions go towards?
The filmmaking process is complicated and requires the work of a team
of professionals. All of the proceeds raised through this site will
go towards the production and post-production of HARD2.
Who is behind this project and who will direct?
It is being written, produced and directed by the same team that created
the first HARD movie - John Matkowsky, Noel Palomaria and John Huckert
(MPH Productions).
What if you don’t raise the money that you will need to
make the film?
This fundraising drive is only an accompanying part of our overall
financing strategy. With your support, we can begin production sooner
and finish the film earlier.
Why can’t I (as an international contributor) just get a DVD
of the film as a reward?
Territorial rights with future international distributors make it
impossible to offer the finished DVD as a reward to all of our international
supporters.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept major credit cards such as Visa, MasterCard, American Express,
and Discover or direct payments, all through PayPal.
Do I need a PayPal account to contribute?
No, you don’t need a PayPal account to contribute, but if you
already have a PayPal account you can use it.
